The pretty town of Cortona is given a medieval atmosphere by its ancient city walls and buildings. 10 km from the town, Lidia and Roberta have transformed two houses with foundations dating back to the twelfth century into splendid appartments. The stone walls and wooden beams contribute to the authentic and warm character of the rooms. While retaining this rustic character, the bathrooms and kitchens also offer considerable modern comforts. The two separate houses, La Guardata and La Fufigna, each have a swimming pool surrounded by lavender and rosemary. Like the houses, the gardens are elegant and carefully tended.
