Massa Marittima is a splendid medieval town where every old stone breathes and whispers history. Negotiating the small alleys, one comes across the Piazza Garibaldi and the Cathedral. At the foot of the town, spread over 300 hectares and covered with olive groves and forest, lies Tenuta il Cicalino, once one of the most important properties of the area. After the agricultural reform, the farm was reduced to its present dimensions. Elisabetta and Federico, the young owners, decided to give a new lease of life to the old farm buildings on the property. Six separate houses have been converted into guest apartments. Their decoration is simple, but tasteful, adding to the comfortable atmosphere. We recommend those that give directly onto the swimming pool.
