Everyone knows Leonardo da Vinci. Here you are, just a few metres from his birthplace. The area is strategic for reaching Lucca to the west and Firenze to the east. Casa Carbonaia overlooks the valley and offers a beautiful view of the hills covered with olive trees. The oldest part of the house dates back to 1425.

Each flat has its own private outdoor space, with wooden tables and chairs in perfect harmony with the exposed stonework of the building. The soberly furnished flats offer all the necessary comfort. Wooden furniture and colourful fabrics are the main decoration for each of them.

The swimming pool is located 70m above the house. Surrounded by a large garden, it offers a very nice living space. Close to the house is also the barbecue area which is available to all guests.

Simone is very helpful. As a mountain guide, he can suggest beautiful walks or mountain bike rides. And for the more adventurous among you, a rafting trip on the Garfagnana is also possible.

For the months of May and June, Simone offers you the choice between a mountain bike tour with a guide to discover the surroundings (departure and arrival at Casa Carbonaia) or a half-day guided trekking, with a picnic break in a secret place with a view from Florence to Lucca.
