Description   Themes
Surrounded by pine trees and sunflowers, the charming property of Sant'Anna is situated in the midst of the Tuscan countryside. Built by Leopold II of Austria a few kilometres from Cortona, the architecture is typically Tuscan. The centre of the villa, flanked by two pavilions, is dominated by the old dovecot. Omar Paolo Marri and his family live in the main building. In the old houses, previously inhabited by peasant workers, they have recently built five appartments which carefully preserve the authentic character of the original structure. Surrounded by lush greenery, with only the chirping of the crickets to disturb the silence, this property offers holidays in perfect peace and serenity. Independent-minded visitors will appreciate the fact that the owner is rarely to be seen, occupied as he is with work on the farm. The surroundings offer some lovely day trips to places like Cortona, Montepulciano, or Arezzo
